Antennae on tractor

What was my most tragic case? That is difficult. I have seen a lot of tragedy.

Once I was the flight physician for a transport from an outlying hospital to pick up a young girl with a head injury.

Dad needed to cut the grass. His daughter wanted to ride along. He hooked a trailer to the hitch on the tractor. He also strapped a radio to the side of the tractor to play music. The antennae extended toward the back.

The little girl was thrown forward when the father hit a ditch.  The antennae impaled the little girl. It entered her skull at the thin bone on the medial aspect of the eye and transversed the brain.

She never awoke.
